Superhero Movie(My first Review)

I caught superhero movie and think I’ll take a whack at reviewing it.

Superhero Movie Review (spoiler alert!)

Superhero Movie is directed by Craig Mazen and mainly based around Rick Riker who also the Dragonfly is played by Drake Bell (From TV shows like Drake and Josh!). Rick is based on Peter Parker from marvel’s Spider-man. Rick is crazy and in love with Jill Johnson based on Mary-Jane (another character from Spider-man) who is the school’s hot and popular female girl! Along with the help of his friend Trey and his uncle Albert, he becomes the greatest superhero after getting bitten by a super dragonfly. Later on the hourglass is introduced who is also Lance Landers, a Local CEO of a big genetics company. The hour glass needs to suck the life out of a lot of people so he goes to where everybody goes. Can the dragonfly save everybody?

Superhero Movie is a funny and quirky movie and is basically a parody of many superhero movies including Spider-man, batman and a few others. The best superhero parody of the lot is the batman one. I have only seen half of batman begins but I think they did that one very well. Also, the x-men one where during the film while Xavier is trying to help Rick, his wife and bald kids all on wheelchairs too come on. They also had fun playing with parodies of famous people like Stephen hawking who got hurt a lot and the Dali lama who Rick mistook for the hourglass!

So like many superhero flicks you just know the hero and villain will fight in the end and it was done very well in the end and the way they ended the fight was great. You would also expect the main girl to get in trouble and the hero to rescue the main girl who is also his love (Jill Johnson). Also, the way that is done is wonderful.

The uncle is portrayed as a horny old man who is always telling Rick that being a superhero is about the women. He is done well but the jokes he gives only gets old. The aunt is portrayed as an old lady who is never tired and is sometimes takes note of her husband likeing the younger girls. I noticed the lady playing her did bits on Gilmore girls and she did a good job as the aunt here too. Lastly, the best friend who in the beginning uses a myriad of apple products and is a big computer geek in the beginning of the film but doesn’t have much personality for the rest of the film. Let’s just say that when he isn’t a computer nerd, he is giving Rick the idea that being a superhero is about the Fame/money.

Well Superhero movie is so funny you will miss jokes while you laugh. The different superhero flicks are portrayed greatly and there are some sad bits. There are some sexual reference and not much violence though. It is rated M so it isn’t for kids.

It gets a big 10 stars! (1 is lowest – 10 is highest)

We saw THIS coming!

Well, the current storyline of PvP(Player vs. Player) is where Brent and Jade’s marridge plans were canceled becaue of jade’s mother. Jade yells, screams and basicly tells the mother to butt-out! So brent offers to handle the wedding while Jade and Miranda handle the mother. That’s where cole, the boss, comes in. His solution is what everyone had been thinking will happen: Go to the millionare rich employee.

Now, the question is, will cole’s plan of going to robbie, the rich ex-employee, work?
